Acne Scar Remedy Treatment

get-rid-of-acne-scars-image5.jpgSeveral methods for acne scar removal treatment are in use today to help remove acne scars effectively. Depending on the severity, the type of treatment to use can range from simply applying cream to the more complex and expensive laser treatment.

Faint scars may be successfully treated with chemical peels that fade scars over time. More severe scars which are bumpy in nature cannot be cured through regular acne scar remedy and require the use of specialised methods.

From injections to acne scar removal by laser treatment, all types of advanced medical practices are applied to cure acne scars. Higher chances of success in repairing damaged skin can be achieved if timely treatment is made.

The best acne scar removal treatment will vary with each individuals’ condition. The type and extent of scarring, location of scars, and even individual budget. Some treatments such as laser treatment can be expensive with long-term follow up care and maintenance. Indeed, no single method is likely to get rid of scars overnight.

Many different types of treatment can be used to treat even some of the most heavily scarred areas to make them appear much closer to normal. While some tiny blemishes may remain, often times they will be too small to notice without a detailed inspection.

A method of treatment is collagen injection where once injected under the skin, the collagen puffs out the affected area, making the scar less noticeable. However this treatment must be repeated regularly, about every 3 to 6 months.

In another similar procedure is injecting with a persons’ own body fat. Essentially, it is taking fat from one part of a persons’ body and injecting it into the acne scar, causing it to fill out. This treatment will still have to be repeated although less frequently as the fat will be absorbed back into the skin.

Laser treatment is an increasingly popular remedy. Different intensities of laser rays are applied to change the shape of the acne scar. The procedure is painless and fast but again, several treatments may be required and success would depend on the type of scar.

As acne scar laser removal is expensive and requires multiple treatments, not everyone can afford to choose this method of treatment even though many think it is the best acne scar removal treatment.
